Vision
It is the vision of the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the Appraisal Institute to be the leading organization of real estate appraisers known for its commitment to professionalism and its dedication to the success of its members, candidates for designation, affiliates and their firms. The Chapter will serve the community of real estate valuation professionals by providing and developing a relevant, robust, diverse and sustainable structure through educational offerings and programs to enhance the chapter experience.
Mission
As America’s largest real estate appraisal organization, the mission of the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the Appraisal Institute is to support and advance its constituents as the choice for real estate solutions and to uphold professional credentials, standards of professional practice and ethics consistent with the public good.
Jurisdiction
The territorial jurisdiction assigned to the Western Pennsylvania Chapter by the Board of Directors of the Appraisal Institute shall include Pennsylvania Counties of: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Bedford, Blair, Butler, Cambria, Cameron, Clarion, Clearfield, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Fayette, Forest, Greene, Indiana, Jefferson, Lawrence, McKean, Mercer, Somerset, Venango, Warren, Washington and Westmoreland;, and such other counties or municipalities as assigned by the Appraisal Institute.
